Constructive Critique
HOW IT
WORKS:
·
Read the
work through first as a reader, then as a writer.
·
Find the
good points and begin with that.  Then
begin with what could change and explain why.
·
Be
unbiased. Judge the work not the writer.
·
Try not
to focus too much on grammar and sentence construction.
HOW IT DOESN”T:
·
Criticizing
the story world.
·
Words
like STUPID, SUCK and all variants thereof won’t help anybody.
***Remember***
We writers are a
sensitive lot regarding our work.
Be nice.
It is the right of
the writer to take or disregards advice given.
Allow time for some
self reflecting.
