get time but for now here are some of the more popular fiction magazine
publishers in no particular order.

TOR.com,
as a subsidiary of the umbrella publishing corporation Macmillan and has excellent
pay rates, first class editors, clean website with a lot of exposure. Because stories are published online and not
in print it keeps their costs down.
What’s
the catch? They have an extremely slow
response time. 6 - 8 Months.

About: Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine is
based in Australia. They have an excellent
return time. Their editors give valuable
feedback to stories. They are well
managed and have an excellent team. They
will only accept electronic submissions that complies with the general
formatting rules and compiled in a *.RTF (RICH TEXT FILE) file extension.
What’s the catch? They only accept stories with a Science
Fiction or Fantasy theme.

About: EQMM has recently updated
their submission process with an online submitter. They will no longer accept paper based
submissions.
What’s the Catch? They are looking for Detective fiction.

Named after the famed (Alfred Hitchcock) film maker AHMM publishes stories of a mystery genre. They do still take snail mail submissions so
if you consider submitting please follow their guideline to the letter and make
sure you include a Self Addressed Envelope.
